By closely observing everyday behavior, I work with lens-based media and performative situations, moving between spontaneous encounters and constructed frameworks. Simple conditions generate unpredictable human reactions, revealing what ordinary moments can disclose about relationships. This approach functions as a form of research through observation and experimentation, where these reactions — gestures, reflexes, micro-interactions, and interactions with objects — become the main material of inquiry. Sometimes I film situations as they unfold; at other times, I construct simple frameworks that invite spontaneous reactions.

We continuously perform different identities in daily life; I am particularly interested in the moments when these performances slip, producing unfiltered gestures and bodily responses. Alongside constructing minimal conditions based on observed situations, I also record fleeting encounters in public space. These parallel approaches allow me to move between fictional frameworks and real-time observation, reflecting on how the resulting responses can be situated within questions of trust, communication, and belonging.

My interest in these moments emerged from noticing repeating behavioral patterns within my parents’ relationship, which gradually expanded into a broader curiosity about how people relate to one another. This curiosity finds its origin in the concept of trust, a fragile and shifting mechanism that shapes how communication unfolds and raises questions of belonging.

I continuously question what drives my practice and use the work itself as a tool to sharpen my artistic positioning. Over time, by making and returning to the work, I have come to recognize that my practice consistently revolves around trust, communication, and belonging, while remaining open to transformation as the work evolves.
